J.W. Crane Memorial Library
The Reading Room
The "Reading Room" is the latest addition to the
Deer Lodge Centre's programs for residents, families and community
members. Made possible through funding provided by the Deer
Lodge Centre Foundation, this new information centre provides
a quiet and comfortable setting in which consumers can obtain
information on a broad range of issues and concerns related
to healthy aging.
The Reading Room contains a wide variety of books, magazines
and videos providing current and authoritative information
on specific diseases, disabilities and medical problems for
those seeking to be more informed about their health. It also
provides resources and support materials for caregivers and
families. Cookbooks, exercise videos, newsletters and magazines
contain tips, techniques and ideas for healthy living and
stress management.
The following subject guides are currently available:
The Reading Room is located in the J.W. Crane Memorial Library
and is open from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Friday. You
can find us at the end of the first corridor on your left
as you come in the main entrance to Deer Lodge Centre or immediately
to your left as you come in the Duffield Street entrance.
Please take a few minutes to stop by and see us, or plan to
spend an afternoon curled up in one of our comfy wing chairs.
Materials can be used in the Reading Room, or you may choose
to take them home to share with friends and family.
