Services
Current Awareness
The library publishes Agelit (PDF
Document 473kb), a review of recent research and resources
in geriatrics, on a quarterly basis. The "Current
Perspectives Series" of selective bibliographies
on key geriatric topics is updated regularly. To view these
publications, click here.
The library also distributes a "Web Pick of the Week"
via e-mail highlighting recent Internet resources in geriatrics
and gerontology. To be placed on this mailing list, send a
message to lblanchard@deerlodge.mb.ca.

Information Searching
The library is staffed by information professionals who will
search relevant databases, websites and other resources for
the information you require.
Bibliographies and Reading
Lists
Library staff will develop customized bibliographies, Internet
guides and readings lists for conferences, seminars and presentations.
Orientation and Instruction
Tours of, and orientation to the library's resources and
services are available on request. Staff also provide instruction
on literature search and evaluation techniques, and on identifying

Service Charges
The Crane Library's services are available at no charge to
Deer Lodge Centre staff and affiliated agencies and institutions.
Other clients may access services according to the following
fee schedule. Applicable taxes apply.
- Information Searches $25.00 (+ database charges
if applicable)
- Photocopying 20 cents per page (out of province
minimum $5.00)
- Self Serve Photocopying 15 cents per page
- Faxing Services:
- local - 20 cents per page
- long distance - $1.00 per page
- out of province - minimum $10.00
- Lost or damaged items Replacement cost + $10.00
handling charge
- Customized services Billed on an hourly basis
